About ShotDraft
ShotDraft is a modern shot planning tool for film and video productions. It lets you draw top-down floor plans of your set, place cameras, actors, lights and props, sketch camera movements like dolly, steadicam or crane moves, and turn it all into a clean shot list and a professional PDF you can hand to your crew.
Who it is for
ShotDraft is built for directors of photography, directors, gaffers, key grips and assistant directors — anyone who needs to explain a setup clearly before the shooting day. Gaffers can plan power distribution, circuits and generator runtime with real fixture data, while directors and DPs can import a screenplay, break it into scenes and prepare every shot. Projects sync across desktop, iPad and iPhone, work offline, and can be shared with collaborators in real time.
Who builds it
ShotDraft is made in France by Vincent, a working DP and director. Frustrated with slow, outdated planning tools that didn't reflect how crews actually work on set, he started building the tool he wanted to use himself. Every feature is shaped by real productions and by feedback from filmmakers around the world who use ShotDraft every day.
